Proclaim (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), “I am purely a Herald of Warning – and there is no God except Allah, the One, the All Dominant.” 65 The Lord of the heavens and the earth and what is between them, the Mighty, the most Forgiving. 66 Say thou: it is a tiding mighty. 67 Ye are therefrom averting. 68 I had no knowledge of the High Council when they disputed. 69 had it not been revealed unto me [by God] - to no other end than that I might convey [unto you] a plain warning. 70 When your Lord told the angels, "I will create a mortal out of clay, 71 and when I have formed him fully and breathed My spirit into him, prostrate yourselves before him." 72 Thereupon the angels prostrated themselves, all of them together, 73 Not so Iblis: he was haughty, and became one of those who reject Faith. 74 The Lord said: “O Iblis, what prevented you from prostrating yourself before him whom I created of My Two Hands. Are you waxing proud, or fancy yourself to be too exalted?” 75 He said: "I am better than he. You created me from fire, and him from clay." 76 He said: Then get out of it, for surely you are driven away: 77 "And My curse shall be on thee till the Day of Judgment." 78 He (satan) replied: 'Respite me my Lord till the Day of Resurrection' 79 He said: Lo! thou art of those reprieved 80 “Until the time of the known day.” 81 [Whereupon Iblis] said: "Then [I swear] by Thy very might: I shall most certainly beguile them all into grievous error 82 Save Thy single-minded slaves among them. 83 (God) said: "This is right by Me, and what I say is right. 84 that I shall certainly fill hell with you and your followers all together". 85 Say (O Muhammad, unto mankind): I ask of you no fee for this, and I am no simulating. 86 It, (the Quran), is nothing but a reminder to you from the Lord of the Universe. 87 you shall before long know its truth." 88
