HAST THOU, then, ever considered him who turns away [from remembering Us, and cares for no more than the life of this world,] 33 And he gave a little, then refrained? 34 Has he knowledge of the Unknown that he perceives everything? 35 Or hath he not had news of what is in the books of Moses 36 And Abraham who paid his debt: 37 Namely, that no bearer of burdens can bear the burden of another; 38 And that man can have nothing but what he does (good or bad). 39 And that his deeds will be seen, 40 Then he will be fully repaid for it? 41 and that with thy Sustainer is the beginning and the end [of all that exists]; 42 It is He who causes laughter and weeping. 43 and that it is He alone who deals death and grants life; 44 and He it is Who created the two kinds, the male and the female, 45 from an ejaculated drop (of sperm), 46 and that upon Him is the second creation 47 And that it is He who enriches and suffices 48 that He is the Lord of Sirius. 49 And that it is He (Allah) Who destroyed the former 'Ad (people), 50 And that Thamud! He left not. 51 And the folk of Noah aforetime, Lo! they were more unjust and more rebellious; 52 just as He thrust into perdition those cities that were overthrown 53 and then covered them from sight forever. 54 So O listener! Which favour of your Lord will you doubt? 55 This is a (Prophet) like that of the ancient warners (Prophets). 56 The approaching event has come near. 57 None beside Allah can disclose it. 58 Do ye then wonder at this recital? 59 and do they laugh instead of weeping, 60 While ye amuse yourselves? 61 So fall you down in prostration to Allah, and worship Him (Alone). ۩ 62
True are the words of God the Almighty.
End of Surah: The Stars (Al-Najm). Sent down in Mecca after Absoluteness (Al-Ikhlaas) before He Frowned ('Abasa)
