Al-A'alaa
The All High (Al-A'alaa)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Rolling (Al-Takweer) before The Night (Al-Layl)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ Glorify the Name of your Lord, the Most High, 1 Who created and proportioned 2 And Who makes (things) according to a measure, then guides (them to their goal), 3 And who brings out the pasture 4 And then doth make it (but) swarthy stubble. 5 We shall make thee recite, to forget not 6 Except what Allah should will. Indeed, He knows what is declared and what is hidden. 7 And We shall make easy unto thee the easy way. 8 REMIND, THEN, [others of the truth, regardless of] whether this reminding [would seem to] be of use [or not]: 9 He who fears (Allah) shall heed it, 10 but the wretched will turn away from it. 11 he who [in the life to come] shall have to endure the great fire 12 where he will neither die nor live. 13 To happiness [in the life to come] will indeed attain he who attains to purity [in this world,] 14 And who remembereth the name of his Lord, and then prayeth. 15 But you prefer the worldly life, 16 and the world to come is better, and more enduring. 17 Verily this is in Writs ancient 18 the Scrolls of Abraham and Moses. 19
