T H (Taa Haa)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ Ta' Ha' 1 We did not bestow the Qur'an on thee from on high to make thee unhappy, 2 Nay, it is a reminder to him who fears: 3 A down-sent from Him who Created the earth and the heavens high. 4 The ever-merciful, established on the throne (of authority). 5 To Him belongs all that is in the heavens and all that is on the earth, and all that is between them, and all that is under the soil. 6 And if you speak aloud – so He surely knows the secret and that which is more concealed. 7 God is the only Lord and to Him belong all the exalted Names. 8 Has the story of Moses reached you? 9 When he saw a fire and said to his wife, “Wait – I have seen a fire – perhaps I may bring you an ember from it or find a way upon the fire.” 10 When he approached it, a voice called out: 11 Lo! I, even I, am thy Lord, So take off thy shoes, for lo! thou art in the holy valley of Tuwa. 12 I have chosen you. So listen to what is being revealed. 13 Indeed, I am Allah. There is no deity except Me, so worship Me and establish prayer for My remembrance. 14 Indeed, the Hour is coming - I almost conceal it - so that every soul may be recompensed according to that for which it strives. 15 So do not let those who do not believe in it and follow their vain desires, turn you away from it. 16 And what is that in thy right hand, O Moses? 17 'It is my staff," Moses replied, "upon it I lean and with it I beat down leaves to feed my sheep and for me there are other uses in it' 18 God said, "Moses, cast it down." 19 Moses threw it on the ground and suddenly he saw that it was a moving serpent. 20 Allah said:"Grasp it, and fear not, We shall return it to its former state, 21 "And press your (right) hand to your (left) side, it will come forth white (and shining), without any disease as another sign, 22 for We shall show you some of Our greatest Signs. 23 Go thou unto Fir'awn; verily he hath waxen exorbitant. 24
