Say, "Lord, if you will afflict them with punishment, 93 O my Lord, put me not among the people of the evildoers.' 94 [Pray thus] for, behold, We are most certainly able to let thee witness [the fulfillment, even in this world, of] whatever We promise them! 95 Repel evil with that which is better. We are Best Aware of that which they allege. 96 And say: "O my Sustainer! I seek refuge with Thee from the promptings of all evil impulses; 97 "And I seek refuge with Thee O my Lord! lest they should come near me." 98 Until when death overtakes one of them, he says: Send me back, my Lord, send me back; 99 “Perhaps I may do some good deeds in what I have left behind”; this is just a word that he utters from his mouth; and confronting them is a barrier until the day in which they will be raised. 100 There will be no kindred relations nor any opportunity to ask about others or seek their assistance after the trumpet has sounded. 101 Only those whose scales are heavier in the balance will find happiness. 102 And as for him whose good deeds are light, these are they who shall have lost their souls, abiding in hell 103 Their faces will be scorched by flames, and they will grin and scowl within it. 104 Have not My revelations been rehearsed unto you, and them ye have been belying? 105 They will answer, "Lord, misfortune overcame us and we became an erring people. 106 Lord, take us out of this and if we sin again, we shall certainly be unjust". 107 He saith: Begone therein, and speak not unto Me. 108 You are those that when a party of My servants said: 'Our Lord, we believe, so forgive us, and have mercy on us, for You are the Best of those that are merciful,' 109 “So you took them for a mockery until your mocking at them made you forget My remembrance, and you used to laugh at them!” 110 On this day I have given them their reward for their exercising patience and it is they who have triumphed." 111 [Allah] will say, "How long did you remain on earth in number of years?" 112 They will reply: 'A day, or part of a day; ask those who have kept count' 113 He will say: ye tarried a little indeed; would that ye had known that. 114 Deem ye that We have created you in vain and that unto Us ye are not to be returned? 115 [KNOW,] then, [that] God is sublimely exalted, the Ultimate Sovereign, the Ultimate Truth: there is no deity save Him, the Sustainer, in bountiful almightiness enthroned! 116 Whosoever calls upon another god, other than Allah, having no proof his reckoning will be with his Lord. The unbelievers shall never prosper. 117 And (O Muhammad) say: My Lord! Forgive and have mercy, for Thou art Best of all who show mercy. 118
