(The tribe of) A'ad denied the messengers (of Allah). 123 Their brother Hud asked them, "Why do you not have fear of God? 124 I am a trustworthy messenger for you: 125 So keep your duty to Allah and obey me. 126 And I do not ask you for it any payment. My payment is only from the Lord of the worlds. 127 Do you build on every height a monument? Vain is it that you do: 128 "And do ye get for yourselves fine buildings in the hope of living therein (for ever)? 129 and when you strike you strike like tyrants? 130 So fear God, and obey me; 131 And be careful of (your duty to) Him Who has given you abundance of what you know. 132 “He aided you with cattle and sons.” 133 and gardens, and springs -- 134 I fear the punishment of a terrible day for you. 135 They replied: "It is all the same for us whether you admonish us or not. 136 That is nothing but a habit of the ancients, 137 And we are not going to be tormented. 138 Then they accused him of lies; so We annihilated them. Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
