Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Alif Lam Mim. 1 These are verses of the Wise Book. 2 A guidance and mercy for the righteous 3 Who establish prayer and give zakah, and they, of the Hereafter, are certain [in faith]. 4 They follow the guidance of their Lord and they will have everlasting happiness. 5 But there are, among men, those who purchase idle tales, without knowledge (or meaning), to mislead (men) from the Path of Allah and throw ridicule (on the Path): for such there will be a Humiliating Penalty. 6 Whenever Our messages are conveyed to such a person, he turns away in his arrogance, as though he had not heard them -- as though his ears were sealed: give him, then, the tidings of grievous suffering [in the life to come]. 7 Verily those who believe and work righteous works, theirs shall be Gardens of Delight. 8 Abiding in them; the promise of Allah; (a) true (promise), and He is the Mighty, the Wise. 9 He has created the heavens without pillar as you can see, fixed the mountains on earth so that it may not shake you away, and settled therein all types of living creatures. We have sent down water from the sky and made all kinds of plants grow in gracious pairs. 10 this is God's creation. Show me then what those besides Him have created! The wrongdoers are in manifest error. 11
