The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the angels ranged in ranks. 1 and the drivers driving, 2 And by oath of the groups that read the Qur’an. 3 Indeed, your God is One, 4 Lord of the heavens and the earth, and of what between them is Lord of the Easts. 5 We have adorned the lowest heaven with the beauty of the planets; 6 a protection against every rebel satan; 7 They cannot listen to the speech of those on higher elevations and they are targeted from every side. 8 rejected, and theirs is an everlasting chastisement, 9 But if anyone does succeed in snatching a glimpse [of such knowledge], he shall be pursued by a piercing flame. 10 So ask them for a pronouncement -- Are they stronger in constitution, or those We created? We created them of clinging clay. 11 Nay, but whereas thou dost marvel, they [only] scoff; 12 When they are reminded, they do not pay heed, 13 And seek to scoff when they behold a portent. 14 And say, "This is not but obvious magic. 15 "What! When we have died and become dust and bones, will we be brought back to life again, 16 And our fathers too?" 17 Say thou: "Yea, and ye shall then be humiliated (on account of your evil)." 18 It will be a single Zajrah [shout (i.e. the second blowing of the Trumpet)], and behold, they will be staring! 19 They will say, "O woe to us! This is the Day of Recompense." 20 “Yes, this is the Day of Final Decision that you used to deny as a lie.” 21
