The Hidden Secret (Al-Muddath-thir)
56 verses, revealed in Mecca after Unknown Person (Al-Muzzammil) before The Key (Al-Faatehah)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
O, you, wrapped in your cloak, 1 Arise and warn, 2 Thy Lord magnify, 3 And your garments purify! 4 Pollution shun! 5 And do not favour others in order to receive more. 6 and persevere for your Lord's sake. 7 Finally, when the Trumpet is sounded, 8 That, at that time, shall be a difficult day, 9 For the infidels, not easy. 10 Leave Me with him whom I alone have created, 11 And give him vast riches, 12 and sons to be by his side, 13 and made all things smooth for him; 14 Yet he desires that I should give more. 15 By no means! surely he offers opposition to Our communications. 16 Soon will I visit him with a mount of calamities! 17 Indeed he thought, and inwardly decided. 18 (Self-)destroyed is he, how he planned! 19 Then may he be destroyed [for] how he deliberated. 20 and then he looks [around for new arguments,] 21 frowned and scowled, 22 Then he turned back and was big with pride, 23 And said: This is naught else than magic from of old; 24 'this is nothing but mortal speech.' 25 I will cast him into Hell-fire 26 And what will make you realize what hell is? 27 It spares not (any sinner), nor does it leave (anything unburnt)! 28 Darkening and changing the colour of man! 29 Over it are Nineteen. 30 And We have set none but angels as guardians of the Fire, and We have fixed their number (19) only as a trial for the disbelievers, in order that the people of the Scripture (Jews and Christians) may arrive at a certainty [that this Quran is the truth as it agrees with their Books i.e. their number (19) is written in the Taurat (Torah) and the Injeel (Gospel)] and the believers may increase in Faith (as this Quran is the truth) and that no doubts may be left for the people of the Scripture and the believers, and that those in whose hearts is a disease (of hypocrisy) and the disbelievers may say: "What Allah intends by this (curious) example?" Thus Allah leads astray whom He wills and guides whom He wills. And none can know the hosts of your Lord but He. And this (Hell) is nothing else than a (warning) reminder to mankind. 31

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
