۞ O men, you are the ones that have need of God; He is the All-sufficient, the All-laudable. 15 If He wills, He can do away with you and bring forth a new creation. 16 And that is for Allah not difficult. 17 No one who carries a burden bears another's load; and even if the burdened soul cry out for help none will carry the least of its burden, however close a relative it may be. You can only warn those who fear their Lord in secret and fulfil their devotional obligations. Whoever grows in goodness does so for himself. To God is the journeying back. 18 Not equal are the blind and the seeing man, 19 nor darkness and light; 20 nor cool shade and torrid heat; 21 And not equal are the living and the dead! Indeed Allah causes them to listen*, whomever He wills; and you cannot make those who are in the graves** listen. (* Listen to guidance **The disbelievers are referred to as dead, whose fates are sealed.) 22 You are simply a warner. 23 We have sent you with the truth as a bearer of good news and a warner, there is no community to which a warner has not come. 24 If they belie you, those before them also belied. Their Messengers came to them with clear signs; the Psalms, and the Illuminating Book. 25 Then I took hold of those who disbelieved. So how terrible was My disapproval! 26
