The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
By the heaven, holding mansions of the stars, 1 And the promised day, 2 and by the witness (Muhammad) and that which is witnessed (the Day of Judgment), 3 Cursed were the companions of the trench 4 Fire supplied (abundantly) with fuel: 5 When they sat by it (fire), 6 Witnessing what they had done to the believers! 7 They took revenge on them only because they believed in the All-mighty, the Al-laudable, 8 To Him only belongs the kingship of the heavens and the earth; and Allah is a Witness over all things. 9 Those who persecute (or draw into temptation) the Believers, men and women, and do not turn in repentance, will have the Penalty of Hell: They will have the Penalty of the Burning Fire. 10 But those who believe and do good deeds shall be rewarded with gardens watered by flowing rivers. That is the supreme triumph. 11 Lo! the punishment of thy Lord is stern. 12 it is He who begins and repeats [His creation], 13 And He is the Forgiving, and the Loving. 14 Owner of the throne, the Glorious 15 Executor of His own will. 16 Has not there come to you the story of the hosts, 17 of Pharaoh, and of [the tribe of] Thamud? 18 The unbelievers are indeed engaged in denying it, calling it a lie, 19 And Allah is after them, has them surrounded. 20 Nay, but it is a glorious Koran, 21 (Preserved) on the guarded tablet. 22
