Al-Mu' minoon 3 of 6
And the eminent among his people who disbelieved and denied the meeting of the Hereafter while We had given them luxury in the worldly life said, "This is not but a man like yourselves. He eats of that from which you eat and drinks of what you drink. 33 If ye were to obey a mortal like yourselves, then, lo! ye surely would be losers. 34 Does he promise you that, after you have died and become [mere] dust and bones, you shall be brought forth [to a new life]? 35 ۞ “How remote, (really) how remote is the promise you are given!” 36 There is nought but our life of the world; we die and we live, and we are not going to be raised up. 37 He is nothing but a man who attributes his own lying inventions to God, and we are not going to believe him!" 38 The messenger said, "My Lord, help me, for they have rejected me." 39 (Allah) said: "In but a little while, they are sure to be sorry!" 40 Then the Blast overtook them with justice, and We made them as rubbish of dead leaves (floating on the stream of Time)! So away with the people who do wrong! 41 Then after them, We created other generations. 42 No nation can live beyond its allotted time, or lag behind. 43 And We sent forth Our apostles, one after another: [and] every time their apostle came to a community, they gave him the lie: and so We caused them to follow one another [into the grave,] and let them become [mere] tales: and so - away with the folk who would not believe! 44 We then sent Moosa and his brother Haroon, with Our signs and a clear proof. 45 To Pharaoh and his establishment, but they were arrogant and were a haughty people. 46 They said, "Should we believe two men like ourselves while their people are for us in servitude?" 47 So they denied them and were of those destroyed. 48 And indeed We gave Moosa the Book, that they may attain guidance. 49 And We made the son of Marium and his mother a sign, and We gave them a shelter on a lofty ground having meadows and springs. 50

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
