The people of Lot rejected the Messengers, branding them liars. 160 When their brother Lot said unto them: Will ye not ward off (evil)? 161 Behold, I am an apostle [sent by Him] to you, [and therefore] worthy of your trust: 162 so fear God and obey me. 163 "No reward do I ask of you for it (my Message of Islamic Monotheism), my reward is only from the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists). 164 Do you, in the world, want to have carnal relations with males 165 And leave ye your spouses your Lord hath created for you? Aye! ye are a people trespassing. 166 They said, 'If thou givest not over, Lot, thou shalt assuredly be one of the expelled.' 167 He said, 'Truly I am a detester of what you do. 168 My Lord, save me and my family from [the consequence of] what they do." 169 So We saved him and his family, all, 170 save an old woman among those that tarried; 171 and then We utterly destroyed the others, 172 And We rained on them a rain. So ill was the rain on those warned? 173 Surely in this there is a sign: but most of them would not believe: 174 And lo! thy Lord, He is indeed the Mighty, the Merciful. 175
