۞ [The angels will be ordered], "Gather those who committed wrong, their kinds, and what they used to worship 22 other than Allah, and guide them to the Path of Hell! 23 "But stop them, verily they are to be questioned. 24 "How is it that [now] you cannot succour one another?" 25 Nay, but on that Day they would willingly surrender [to God]; 26 And they will turn to one another, and question one another. 27 They shall say: Surely you used to come to us from the right side. 28 They will say: nay! ye yourselves were not believers. 29 We had no authority over you, but you were an insolent nation. 30 The sentence of our Lord has come true for us. We have certainly to taste (the punishment), 31 So we led you astray; we ourselves were strayed.” 32 On that Day they will all share the punishment: 33 Verily that is how We shall deal with Sinners. 34 For they, when they were told that there is no god except Allah, would puff themselves up with Pride, 35 and said, "Should we give up our idols for the sake of an insane poet". 36 Nay: he has come with the truth and verified the apostles. 37 You shall certainly taste the painful punishment: 38 “And you will not be compensated except for your deeds.” 39 Except the chosen creatures of God, 40 For them there is a known provision, 41 Fruits! And they shall be honoured. 42 in the Gardens of Bliss. 43 Facing each other on Thrones (of Dignity): 44 Cups of wine will be presented to them in rounds, from a spring flowing in front of them. 45 White, delicious to those who drink. 46 Free from headiness; nor will they suffer intoxication therefrom. 47 And with them maidens of modest look and large lustrous eyes, 48 as if they were hidden pearls. 49 Then some of them will turn to others, and will ask each other. 50 A speaker from among them shall say: Surely I had a comrade of mine, 51 Who used to say: "Are you among those who believe (in resurrection after death). 52 After we are dead and have become all dust and bones shall we still be requited?' 53 He will say, "Would you [care to] look?" 54 Then looketh he and seeth him in the depth of hell. 55 And he will say: by Allah, thou hadst wellnigh causedest me to perish. 56 And had it not been for the favour of my Lord, I too had been of those haled forth (to doom). 57 Is it then that we are not going to die, 58 and that we would not be punished?" 59 Verily this is the supreme achievement! 60 For this the toilers should strive." 61 Is this better as a welcome, or the tree of Zaqqum? 62 We have appointed it as a trial for the evildoers. 63 Verily it is a tree that springeth forth in the bottom of Flaming Fire. 64 Its crop is as it were the heads of devils 65 and they eat of it, and of it fill their bellies, 66 Then on top of it they will have a brew of boiling water. 67 Then surely their return is towards hell. 68 Verily, they found their fathers on the wrong path; 69 yet they run in their footsteps, 70 And indeed most of the men of old went astray before them; 71 And We had sent admonishers to them. 72 See then the end of those who were warned, 73 except for God's sincere servants. 74

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
