Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By (the angels) sent forth with the commands of God, 1 Which then blow violently in tempestuous Gusts, 2 and by the scatterers scattering (rain) 3 And those that distinguish distinctly, 4 Then spread abroad a Message, 5 To complete the argument or to warn. 6 Surely, what you are promised must come to pass. 7 So when the stars are extinguished, 8 And when the sky is split apart. 9 And when the mountains are made into dust and blown away. 10 And when the time of the Noble Messengers arrives. 11 for what Day has this been appointed? 12 For the Day of Sorting out. 13 And what will convey unto thee what the Day of Decision is! - 14 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 15 Did We not destroy the former peoples? 16 So shall We make later generations to follow them. 17 That is what We shall do to those who are guilty of crime. 18 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 19 Created We you not of water despicable, 20 then placed it in a secure repository [the womb], 21 Till an appointed term, 22 We determined; excellent determiners are We. 23 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 24 Have We not caused the earth to hold within itself 25 For the living and the dead. 26 Have We not placed high mountains upon it and filled you with sweet water? 27 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 28 (It will be said to the disbelievers): "Depart you to that which you used to deny! 29 Depart to a triple-massing shadow 30 [But having] no cool shade and availing not against the flame." 31 Surely it sends up sparks like palaces, 32 as black camels. 33 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 34 This is a Day whereon they shall not be able to speak. 35 Nor will it be open to them to put forth pleas. 36 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 37 This is the Day of Decision, We have assembled both ye and the ancients. 38 If you now have any conspiracy, carry it out on Me. 39 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 40
