Al-Naze'aat 2 of 2
What, are you harder to create than the heaven which He has built? 27 He hath raised the height thereof and perfected it. 28 And He made dark its night, and brought forth its sunshine. 29 And after that He spread the earth. 30 He extracted from it its water and its pasture, 31 and has made the mountains firm: 32 (To be) a provision and benefit for you and your cattle. 33 But when there comes the greatest Overwhelming Calamity - 34 the Day when the human will remember what he has worked for, 35 And hell will stand forth visible to him who seeth, 36 Then as for him who is inordinate, 37 and preferred the worldly life, 38 most surely his abode shall be Hell. 39 But as for he who feared the position of his Lord and prevented the soul from [unlawful] inclination, 40 shall dwell in Paradise. 41 (Muhammad), they ask you, "When will the Hour of Doom come?" 42 Wherein art thou (concerned) with the declaration thereof? 43 Towards your Lord only is its conclusion. 44 Thou art but a warner unto him who feareth it. 45 The Day they see it, (it will be) as if they had not tarried (in this world) except an afternoon or a morning. 46

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
