Nay! By the moon 32 and by the night when it recedes, 33 and by the day when it dawns (with its radiance), 34 That (Hell) is surely one of the greater (signs), 35 Warn the men. 36 To him among you who wishes to go forward or remain behind. 37 [On the Day of Judgment,] every human being will be held in pledge for whatever [evil] he has wrought 38 Except those of the right hand 39 In gardens, they shall ask each other 40 Of evil-doers: 41 "What was it that brought you to Hell?" 42 They will say, "We were not of those who prayed, 43 Nor did we feed the wretched. 44 "But we used to talk vanities with vain talkers; 45 And we used to deny the Day of Judgment, 46 "Until there came to us (the Hour) that is certain." 47 So the intercession of the intercessors will not benefit them. (The disbelievers will not have any intercessor.) 48 What is then the matter with them, that they turn away from the admonition 49 As if they were asses taking fright 50 fleeing from a lion? 51 Nay; every one of them desires that he may be given pages spread out; 52 By no means! Aye, they fear not the Hereafter. 53 but this is truly a reminder. 54 So whosoever will (let him read it), and receive admonition (from it)! 55 But none will remember, unless Allah wills, He is the Owner of fear, the Owner of forgiveness. 56
