Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the loosed ones successively 1 By the raging hurricanes, 2 by the scatterers scattering 3 then the criterion (the verses of Koran), separating 4 And by the angels that bring the revelations to the Messengers, 5 [promising] freedom from blame or [offering] a warning! 6 Surely what you are promised shall come to pass. 7 Then when the stars become dim; 8 And when the heaven is rent asunder, 9 when the mountains shall be scattered 10 The Messengers will receive their appointments. 11 For which day were they appointed? 12 Upon the Day of Decision! 13 How will you comprehend what the Day of Judgement is? 14 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 15 Did We not destroy the former generations? 16 and then follow them with the later folk? 17 [for] thus do We deal with such as are lost in sin. 18 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 19 Did We not create you from a weak water, 20 and place it in a secure place 21 Till an appointed term, 22 Thus We arranged. How excellent is Our arranging! 23 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle 25 Of the living and the dead? 26 Set We not therein soaring mountains? Sated you with sweetest water? 27 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 28 GO ON towards that [resurrection] which you were wont to call a lie! 29 Proceed to a shadow rising in three columns: 30 [But having] no cool shade and availing not against the flame." 31 "Indeed it throws about sparks (huge) as Forts, 32 Seeming like yellow camels. 33 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 34 This is a day in which they will not be able to speak. 35 Nor will it be open to them to put forth pleas. 36 On that day, woe would be those who have rejected God's revelations! 37 This is the day of decision: We have gathered you and those of yore. 38 Now, if ye have a trick (or plot), use it against Me! 39 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 40
