The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
CONSIDER the bright morning hours, 1 And the night when it covers with darkness. 2 Your Lord has not forsaken you, nor has He become displeased, 3 The reward in the next life will certainly be better for you than worldly gains. 4 And indeed your Lord will soon give you so much that you will be pleased. (Allah seeks to please the Holy Prophet peace and blessings be upon him.) 5 Did He not find you an orphan and take care of you? 6 And He found thee wandering, so He guided thee, 7 And did He not find you in want, and then enriched you? 8 Therefore do not oppress the orphan. 9 and as for the beggar, scold him not; 10 but proclaim the blessings of your Lord. 11
Almighty God's Truth.
