Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)
8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
YOU ARE OBSESSED by greed for more and more 1 Until you come to the graves. 2 Nay, but ye will come to know! 3 Nay! Nay! you shall soon know. 4 No indeed; did you know with the knowledge of certainty, 5 that you shall surely see Hell? 6 And again, you shall see it with certainty of sight! 7 Then on that day you will surely be asked about the verity of pleasures. 8
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
