The Key (Al-Faatehah)

7 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Hidden Secret (Al-Muddath-thir) before Thorns (Al-Masad)

In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate 1

Praise be to Allah, Lord of the Worlds, 2 Most beneficent, ever-merciful, 3 the Master of the Day of Doom. 4 Thee do we worship, and Thine aid we seek. 5 Guide us (O Lord) to the path that is straight, 6 the path of those whom Thou hast blessed, not of those against whom Thou art wrathful, nor of those who are astray. 7

God Almighty has spoken the truth.
