The Heifer (Al-Baqarah)

286 verses, revealed in Medina after The Cheaters (Al-Mutaffifeen) before The Spoils of War (Al-Anfaal)

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

Alif-Lam-Mim. [These letters are one of the miracles of the Quran and none but Allah (Alone) knows their meanings]. 1 This is the Book; there is no doubt in it. It is a guide for those who are mindful of God, 2 Who believe in the Unseen, and establish worship, and spend of that We have bestowed upon them; 3 And who believe in this (Qur’an) which has been sent down upon you, O beloved Prophet, (Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him) and what was sent down before you; and are certain of the Hereafter. 4 These are on guidance from their Lord, and these they are the blissful ones. 5 As to those who reject Faith, it is the same to them whether thou warn them or do not warn them; they will not believe. 6 Allah hath sealed their hearing and their hearts, and on their eyes there is a covering. Theirs will be an awful doom. 7
