Say, "Lord, if you will afflict them with punishment, 93 My Lord! then place me not among the wrong-doing people. 94 And verily to shew them that wherewith We threaten them We are surely Able. 95 Repel evil with what is best, We are well aware of the things they say, 96 And say: "O my Sustainer! I seek refuge with Thee from the promptings of all evil impulses; 97 I even seek Your refuge, my Lord, lest they should approach me." 98 [AS FOR THOSE who will not believe in the life to come, they go on lying to themselves] until, when death approaches any of them, he prays: "O my Sustainer! Let me return, let me return [to life,] 99 That I may work righteously in that which I have left. By no means! It is but a word he uttereth; and before them is a barrier until the Day when they shall be raised. 100 So when the Horn is blown, no relationship will there be among them that Day, nor will they ask about one another. 101 And those whose scales are heavy [with good deeds] - it is they who are the successful. 102 But those whose scales weigh light will have ruined their souls; in Hell will they abide. 103 the Fire smiting their faces the while they glower there. 104 "Were not My Verses (this Quran) recited to you, and then you used to deny them?" 105 'Lord' they will reply, 'adversity prevailed over us and we were erring. 106 Our Lord! Oh, bring us forth from hence! If we return (to evil) then indeed we shall be wrong-doers. 107 He will say: "Remain condemned in it, and do not speak to Me. 108 Lo! there was a party of My slaves who said: Our Lord! We believe, therefor forgive us and have mercy on us for Thou art Best of all who show mercy; 109 Then ye took them mockingly, so that they caused you to forget remembrance of Me, and at them ye were wont to laugh. 110 Verily! I have rewarded them this Day for their patience, they are indeed the ones that are successful. 111 They will be asked: "How long did you live on the earth in terms of years?" 112 They will say: We tarried by a day or part of a day. Ask of those who keep count! 113 He will say, “You stayed but only a little, if you knew.” 114 "Do you imagine that We created you without any purpose and that you would not be brought back to Us?" 115 So Exalted be Allah, the True King, La ilaha illa Huwa (none has the right to be worshipped but He), the Lord of the Supreme Throne! 116 And the one who worships any other God along with Allah – of which he does not have any proof – his account is with his Lord; indeed there is no salvation for the disbelievers. 117 So say: "O my Lord! grant Thou forgiveness and mercy for Thou art the Best of those who show mercy!" 118
