And recite to them the story of Ibrahim. 69 When he said unto his father and his people: what worship ye? 70 They said: we worship idols, and we are unto them ever devoted 71 He said: Do they hear you when ye cry? 72 "Or do they benefit you or do they harm (you)?" 73 They exclaimed: But we found our forefathers doing the same!" 74 He said, "Then do you see what you have been worshipping, 75 "Ye and your fathers before you?- 76 Surely they are enemies to me, but not (so) the Lord of the worlds; 77 who created me; and He guides me, 78 and He gives me to eat and drink, 79 "And when I am ill, it is He Who cures me; 80 He will cause me to die and will bring me back to life. 81 "And Who, I hope will forgive me my faults on the Day of Recompense, (the Day of Resurrection)," 82 [And he said], "My Lord, grant me authority and join me with the righteous. 83 And grant me an honourable mention in later generations; 84 and make me one of the inheritors of the Garden of Bliss; 85 And forgive my father, verily he is of the erring; 86 and do not disgrace me on the Day when all people are resurrected, 87 the Day on which neither wealth will be of any use, nor children, 88 "But only he (will prosper) that brings to Allah a sound heart; 89 And the garden shall be brought near for those who guard (against evil), 90 And the hell shall be made manifest to the erring ones, 91 It shall be said to them, 'Where is that you were serving 92 "Instead of Allah? Can they help you or (even) help themselves?" 93 Then they will be thrown headlong into Hell, both they and the misguided ones, 94 "And the whole hosts of Iblis together. 95 There they will quarrel with one another and the erring ones will say (to their deities): 96 they will say, "By God, we were in clear error 97 when we deemed you [false deities] equal to the Sustainer of all the worlds 98 "'And our seducers were only those who were steeped in guilt. 99 Now we have no intercessors, 100 nor a loving friend. 101 Were there for us a return, we would be of the believers. 102 Indeed in that is a sign, but most of them were not to be believers. 103 Surely thy Lord, He is the All-mighty, the All-compassionate. 104

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
