▼ 56 The Inevitable
Al-Waaqe'ah 3 of 3
۞ No! I swear by the fallings of the stars 75 And this surely is great evidence if you can understand -- 76 it is surely a noble Koran 77 In a Book kept hidden 78 which none shall touch except the purified; 79 a revelation from the Lord of the Universe. 80 What, do you hold this discourse in disdain, 81 And make denial thereof your livelihood? 82 Why, then, when the soul of the dying man reaches the throat, 83 the while you are helplessly watching that he is on the verge of death, 84 But We (i.e. Our angels who take the soul) are nearer to him than you, but you see not, [Tafsir At-Tabari, Vol. 27, Page 209] 85 Wherefore then, if ye are not to be requited 86 Can you not bring him back? (Answer) if you are truthful 87 [ALL OF YOU are destined to die.] Now if one happens to be of those who are drawn close unto God, 88 (There is for him) Rest and Satisfaction, and a Garden of Delights. 89 If it is of the people of the right hand, 90 he will be greeted with, "Peace be to you," by those on the Right. 91 But if he is of the rejecters, the erring, 92 Then the welcome will be boiling water 93 He will burn in Hell. 94 That indeed is the absolute truth. 95 So exalt the Name of your Lord, the Great. 96
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
