The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
By the Glorious Morning Light, 1 and by the night when it covers, 2 Thy Lord has neither forsaken thee nor hates thee 3 The reward in the next life will certainly be better for you than worldly gains. 4 And indeed, in time will thy Sustainer grant thee [what thy heart desires,] and thou shalt be well-pleased. 5 Did He not find thee an orphan and give thee shelter (and care)? 6 Did He not find you wandering about and give you guidance? 7 And He found thee in need, and made thee independent. 8 So as for the orphan, do not oppress [him]. 9 and chide not him who asks, 10 and of thy Sustainer's blessings shalt thou [ever] speak. 11
