O People who Believe! Obey Allah and His Noble Messenger, and do not turn away from him after you have heard him speak. 20 and be not as those who say, 'We hear,' and they hear not. 21 ۞ The worst beasts before Allah are those who are deaf, dumb, and do not understand. 22 Indeed, had Allah known any good in them, He would have let them hear. But even if He had made them hear, they would have turned away, swerving aside. 23 O ye who believe! Obey Allah, and the messenger when He calleth you to that which quickeneth you, and know that Allah cometh in between the man and his own heart, and that He it is unto Whom ye will be gathered. 24 And beware of an affliction that will not smite exclusively those among you who have done wrong. Know that God is severe in exacting retribution. 25 And remember when you were few and were reckoned weak in the land, and were afraid that men might kidnap you, but He provided a safe place for you, strengthened you with His Help, and provided you with good things so that you might be grateful. 26 Believers, do not betray Allah and the Messenger, nor knowingly betray your trust. 27 And know that your wealth and your children are a test, and that with Allah is an immense reward. 28
