The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Ta Sin Mim. 1 These are the verses of a Book luminous. 2 Perhaps you will kill yourself with grief because they do not believe. 3 But if We had so willed, We could have sent down to them a sign from the heavens so that their heads would be bowed down before it in utter humility. 4 Whenever there comes to them any fresh warning from the Merciful, they always turn their backs on it: 5 So they have cried lies; therefore assuredly tidings will come to them of that they mocked at. 6 Did they not look at the earth - how much We have produced therein from every noble kind? 7 Most surely there is a sign in that, but most of them will not believe. 8 And lo! thy Lord! He is indeed the Mighty, the Merciful. 9
