Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the emissary winds, (sent) one after another 1 By the raging hurricanes, 2 by (the angels) spreading (the words of God) far and wide, 3 And those that distinguish distinctly, 4 and those hurling a reminder 5 To excuse or to warn, 6 Surely, what you are promised must come to pass. 7 Then when the stars become dim; 8 And when the heaven is opened 9 The mountains will be blown away as dust. 10 And when the messengers' time has come... 11 For what Day are these (portents) deferred? 12 To the day of decision. 13 Would that you knew about the Day of Judgment! 14 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 15 Did We not destroy the ancient people 16 So shall We make later (generations) follow them. 17 So We serve the sinners. 18 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 19 Did We not create you from a humble fluid, 20 which We placed within a sure lodging 21 For a known term? 22 We determined, how excellent a Determiner are We! 23 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle, 25 for the living and for the dead? 26 And made therein mountains standing firm, lofty (in stature); and provided for you water sweet (and wholesome)? 27 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 28 “Move towards what you used to deny!” 29 proceed towards the three-pronged shadow, 30 Neither shading nor availing against the flame. 31 The fire will shoot out sparks as big as huge towers 32 Seeming like yellow camels. 33 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 34 This is the day on which they shall not speak, 35 Nor shall they be permitted so that they might excuse themselves. 36 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 37 This is the Day of Decision, We have assembled both ye and the ancients. 38 So if you have a plan, plan against Me (now). 39 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 40
