The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
29 verses, revealed in Mecca after Thorns (Al-Masad) before The All High (Al-A'alaa)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
When the sun Kuwwirat (wound round and lost its light and is overthrown). 1 the stars are made to fade away, 2 When the mountains vanish (like a mirage); 3 the young barren camels are abandoned, 4 when the savage beasts shall be brought together, 5 the oceans are brought to a boil, 6 And when the souls are paired 7 And when the female infant buried alive is asked 8 For what sin she was killed? 9 When the scrolls are laid open; 10 And when the heaven has its covering removed, 11 And when the hell is kindled up, 12 and Paradise is brought near, 13 (Then) every soul will know what it hath made ready. 14 But nay! I swear by the stars, 15 Go straight, or hide; 16 And the close of night, 17 The rising dawn, 18 [That] indeed, the Qur'an is a word [conveyed by] a noble messenger 19 Endued with Power, with rank before the Lord of the Throne, 20 who is obeyed there and is worthy of trust. 21 Your companion (Muhammad) does not suffer from any mental illness 22 he truly beheld [the angel - beheld] him on the clear horizon; 23 he is not niggardly of the Unseen. 24 Nor is it the word of a satan accursed. 25 Then where are you going? 26 This is a reminder for all the peoples of the world, 27 For him among you who pleases to go straight. 28 And what will you wish, except if Allah wills the Lord of the Creation. 29
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
