Al-Aadeyaat
The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
By the chargers panting, 1 Then those striking sparks of fire, 2 rushing to assault at morn, 3 And raise the dust in clouds the while, 4 Then rush thereby upon an assembly: 5 Indeed man is very ungrateful towards his Lord. 6 He himself bears witness to that. 7 and surely he loves riches with a passionate loving. 8 ۞ But does he not know that [on the Last Day,] when all that is in the graves is raised and brought out, 9 and that which is in the breasts is brought out -- 10 Indeed, their Lord with them, that Day, is [fully] Acquainted. 11
True are the words of God the Almighty.
