Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
50 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah) before Q (Qaaf)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
I swear by the emissary winds, sent one after another (for men's benefit), 1 which then blow tempestuously 2 Consider these [messages] that spread [the truth] far and wide, 3 Then separate them one from another, 4 Then spread abroad a Message, 5 To cut off all excuses or to warn; 6 Surely that which ye are promised will befall. 7 When the stars lose their light, 8 and the sky is rent asunder, 9 When the mountains are scattered (to the winds) as dust; 10 And when the messengers are (all) appointed a time (to collect);- 11 To what day is the doom fixed? 12 For the Day of Distinction [between the true and the false]! 13 And what shall teach thee what is the Day of Decision? 14 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 15 Did We not destroy the ancients 16 So shall We make later generations to follow them. 17 Thus do We deal with the Mujrimun (polytheists, disbelievers, sinners, criminals, etc.)! 18 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 19 Did We not create you of a mean water, 20 which We then placed in a secure repository 21 For a certain appointed time, 22 So We proportion it-- how well are We at proportioning (things). 23 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 24 Made We not the earth to be a housing 25 for both the living and the dead? 26 And placed therein high mountains and given you to drink sweet water therein? 27 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 28 Proceed now towards that which you were wont to deny as false; 29 “Move towards the shadow of the smoke having three branches.” 30 which neither gives shade nor protects one from the flames. 31 Surely it sends up sparks like palaces, 32 As though they were camels yellow tawny. 33 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 34 This is the Day they shall not speak, 35 nor will they be allowed to proffer excuses. 36 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 37 That will be a Day of Decision! We have brought you and the men of old together! 38 So if you have a plan, plan against Me (now). 39 Woe on the day unto the beliers! 40

Notes and Instructions
When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
