And the dwellers of the Rock certainly rejected the apostles; 80 And though We had given them Our signs they turned away from them. 81 And they used to hew out dwellings from the mountains (feeling themselves) secure. 82 and so the blast [of Our punishment] overtook them at early morn, 83 All that they had acquired was of no avail to them. 84 And We did not create the heavens and the earth and what is between them two but in truth; and the hour is most surely coming, so turn away with kindly forgiveness. 85 Indeed, your Lord - He is the Knowing Creator. 86 We have indeed bestowed on you the seven oft-repeated verses and the Great Qur'an. 87 [so] turn, not thine eyes [longingly] towards the worldly benefits which We have granted unto some of those [that deny the truth]. And neither grieve over those [who refuse to heed thee,] but spread the wings of thy tenderness over the believers, 88 And say: Lo! I, even I, am a plain warner, 89 such as We send down for those who are divisive, 90 who have broken the Koran into parts, 91 By thy Lord, We will question them all. 92 As to what they did. 93 So proclaim that which thou art commanded, and withdraw from the idolaters. 94 Indeed, We are sufficient for you against the mockers 95 Those who set up another god with Allah; so they shall soon know. 96 And surely We know that your breast straitens at what they say; 97 So exalt [Allah] with praise of your Lord and be of those who prostrate [to Him]. 98 And keep worshipping your Lord, till death* comes to you. (* The certainty.) 99
