۞ And We inspired Moses, saying: Take away My slaves by night, for ye will be pursued. 52 The Pharaoh sent word to all the cities saying, 53 (Proclaiming): "Surely they are a small band (of fugitives). 54 "And they are raging furiously against us; 55 But we are a fully accounted army." 56 So We made them leave their gardens and springs, 57 and [deprived them of their erstwhile] station of honour!" 58 Thus [We turned them (Pharaoh's people) out] and We caused the Children of Israel to inherit them. 59 So they pursued them at sunrise. 60 When the two forces drew within seeing distance of each other, the people of Moses said: "We shall certainly be overtaken." 61 He said: Nay, verily! for lo! my Lord is with me. He will guide me. 62 Then We inspired Moses, saying: Smite the sea with thy staff. And it parted, and each part was as a mountain vast. 63 We also brought the other party close to the same spot, 64 and We delivered Moses and his companions, all of them, 65 and then We caused the others to drown. 66 Verily! In this is indeed a sign (or a proof), yet most of them are not believers. 67 And indeed, your Lord - He is the Exalted in Might, the Merciful. 68
