We were indeed gracious to Moses and Aaron, 114 And saved them and their people from the great distress, 115 And We helped them, so that they were the victors; 116 And We gave them the Book which helps to make things clear; 117 and guided them in the straight path, 118 and preserved for them a good name among posterity. 119 "Peace and salutation to Moses and Aaron!" 120 This is how We reward the virtuous. 121 truly they were among Our faithful servants. 122 And lo! Elias was of those sent (to warn), 123 When he said to his people, "Will you not fear Allah? 124 Do you call upon Baal and forsake the Best of the Creators? 125 God, your Sustainer and the Sustainer of your forebears of old?" 126 But they denied him, so they surely will be haled forth (to the doom) 127 Except the chosen creatures of God. 128 and him We left thus to be remembered among later generations: 129 Peace be with the followers of Elias. 130 Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good. 131 He was one of Our believing servants. 132 Lot was certainly a Messenger. 133 We saved him and all his people, 134 Save an old woman among the lingerers. 135 Then We destroyed the others. 136 You pass by (their ruined town) in the morning 137 and at night, will you not understand? 138
