The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

Woe unto every slandering traducer, 1 Who has gathered wealth and counted it, 2 He thinks that his wealth will immortalise him forever. 3 By no means! He will be sure to be thrown into That which Breaks to Pieces, 4 and what shall teach thee what is the Crusher; 5 It is the fire kindled by Allah, 6 Reaching right into the hearts of men, 7 (And) vaults them over 8 In extended columns. 9
