We certainly bestowed Our favor upon Moses and Aaron 114 and We saved them and their people from the awesome calamity [of bondage,] 115 And helped them, so that they became the victors; 116 and We gave them the Book which helps to make things clear; 117 And We guided them to the Straight Way. 118 and preserved for them a good name among posterity. 119 Peace be upon Moses and Aaron. 120 Even so We recompense the good-doers; 121 they were among Our believing servants. 122 So also was Elias among those sent (by Us). 123 He asked his people: 'Do you not fear (Allah)? 124 Do you call on Baal and abandon the Best of Creators, 125 Allah, your Lord and Lord of your forefathers? 126 They denied him, and will surely be brought to punishment, 127 Except the chosen bondmen of Allah. 128 And We perpetuated to him (praise) among the later generations. 129 Peace be on Ilyas. 130 As such We recompense the gooddoers. 131 he was among Our believing servants. 132 And verily Lut was of the sent ones. 133 Wherefore We saved him and his entire family 134 except for an old woman who remained behind. 135 Then We destroyed the rest. 136 Verily, you pass by them in the morning. 137 and night: will you not take heed? 138
