He Frowned ('Abasa)
42 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Stars (Al-Najm) before Destiny (Al-Qadr)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ (The Prophet (Peace be upon him)) frowned and turned away, 1 Because there came to him the blind man (i.e. 'Abdullah bin Umm-Maktum, who came to the Prophet (Peace be upon him) while he was preaching to one or some of the Quraish chiefs). 2 And what do you know, he may be of the pure! 3 or yet remember, and the Reminder profit him. 4 Now as for him who believes himself to be self-sufficient 5 to him thou attendest 6 though it is not thy concern, if he does not cleanse himself. 7 but as for him who came unto thee full of eagerness 8 and fears (Allah), 9 From him you are distracted. 10 Indeed, this [Quran] is an admonition. 11 So whoever wishes may remember it. 12 (It is) in Records held (greatly) in honour (Al-Lauh Al-Mahfuz). 13 exalted, purified, 14 (Set down) by scribes 15 Honourable and obedient. 16 Accursed be man! How stubbornly he denies the Truth. 17 Of what substance God created him? 18 From a sperm-drop: He hath created him, and then mouldeth him in due proportions; 19 then the way eased for him, 20 Then He caused him to die and be buried 21 Then, when it is His Will, He will raise him up (again). 22 Nay, but (man) hath not done what He commanded him. 23 Then let mankind look at his food - 24 That We pour forth water in abundance, 25 and let the earth to break open 26 And cause the grain to grow therein 27 And grapes and herbage, 28 And olive-trees and palm-trees 29 thickly planted gardens, 30 And fruits and grass, 31 [As] enjoyment for you and your grazing livestock. 32 But when the Shout cometh 33 on a Day when everyone will [want to] flee from his brother, 34 Mother and father, 35 As well as his wife and children. 36 For every man, that Day, will be a matter adequate for him. 37 Many faces will that day be bright, 38 laughing and joyous 39 And faces on that Day! upon them shall be gloom. 40 Darkness will cover them, 41 These will be the faces of the sinful disbelievers. 42
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
