The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
By the morning hours 1 and by the calm of night, 2 Thy Lord hath not forsaken thee nor doth He hate thee, 3 for, indeed, the life to come will be better for thee than this earlier part [of thy life]! 4 Your Lord will soon grant you sufficient favors to please you. 5 Did He not find you an orphan, so provided you shelter? 6 And He found you lost and guided [you], 7 And He found you poor, and made you rich (selfsufficient with selfcontentment, etc.)? 8 Therefore, treat not the orphan with harshness, 9 and do not chide the one who asks for help; 10 But as for the favor of your Lord, report [it]. 11
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
