T H (Taa Haa)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ TaHa. 1 We did not bestow the Qur'an on thee from on high to make thee unhappy, 2 only as reminder for those who have fear (of disobeying God). 3 A revelation from Him Who created the earth and the high heavens, 4 the Merciful willed to the Throne. 5 To Him only belongs all whatever is in the heavens and all whatever is in the earth, and all whatever is between them, and all whatever is beneath this wet soil. 6 If thou pronounce the word aloud, (it is no matter): for verily He knoweth what is secret and what is yet more hidden. 7 Allah - there is no god but He. His are the most excellent names. 8 Hast thou received the story of Moses? 9 When he saw a fire and said to his family, "Stay here; indeed, I have perceived a fire; perhaps I can bring you a torch or find at the fire some guidance." 10 When he came near the fire he was called, "Moses, 11 Verily, I am thy Sustainer! Take off, then, thy sandals! Behold, thou art in the twice hallowed valley, 12 “And I have chosen you, therefore listen carefully to what is divinely revealed to you.” 13 "Verily! I am Allah! La ilaha illa Ana (none has the right to be worshipped but I), so worship Me, and perform As-Salat (Iqamat-as-Salat) for My Remembrance. 14 The Hour is coming. But I choose to keep it hidden, so that every human being may be recompensed in accordance with his labours. 15 So do not let those who do not believe in it and follow their vain desires, turn you away from it. 16 "What do you have in your right hand, Moses?" 17 'Why, it is my staff,' said Moses. 'I lean upon it, and with it I beat down leaves to feed my sheep; other uses also I find in it. 18 [Allah] said, "Throw it down, O Moses." 19 So Moosa put it down – thereupon it became a fast moving serpent. 20 "Catch it," said He, "and have no fear; We shall revert it to its former state. 21 Now, put your hand under your armpit. It shall come out white, without evil, a second sign. 22 for We shall show you some of Our greatest Signs. 23 Go to Pharaoh, he has become insolent' 24
