Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ When the heaven becomes cleft asunder, 1 and when the stars are scattered; 2 when the seas are made to burst forth, 3 when the graves are overturned, 4 then everyone will know what he has sent ahead, and what he has left behind. 5 O man! What has deceived you away from your Lord, the Most Beneficent? 6 The One Who created you, then moulded you, then made you proper? 7 In whatever form He willed, He put you together. 8 Rather, you belied the Recompense. 9 And most surely there are keepers over you 10 noble scribes 11 who know of all that you do. 12 The pious will surely be in heaven, 13 And indeed the sinners are in hell. 14 which they will enter on the Day of Judgment 15 and from which they will find no escape. 16 And what could make thee conceive what that Judgment Day will be? 17 Again: what will make you realize what the Day of Judgement will be? 18 A day when no soul shall possess aught to succour another soul; that day the Command shall belong unto God. 19
