The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ Prosperous are the believers, 1 those who are humble in their prayer; 2 Who shun all frivolities, 3 And those who pay the Zakat. 4 And those who guard their chastity (i.e. private parts, from illegal sexual acts) 5 Save in regard to their spouses and those whom their right hands own: so they are not blameworthy 6 but those who seek to go beyond that are transgressors -- 7 Those who faithfully observe their trusts and their covenants; 8 And who guard their prayers. 9 They are the inheritors. 10 These are the heirs of Paradise wherein they will live forever. 11 We created the human from an essence of clay: 12 which was then turned into a living germ and placed in safe depository. 13 Then We made the seed a clot, then We made the clot a lump of flesh, then We made (in) the lump of flesh bones, then We clothed the bones with flesh, then We caused it to grow into another creation, so blessed be Allah, the best of the creators. 14 After that you shall surely die, 15 and you will be brought back to life again on the Day of Resurrection. 16 And indeed We have created above you seven heavens (one over the other), and We are never unaware of the creation. 17 We send down water from the sky in determined measure, and store it up in the earth; and We have power to drain it away. 18 We have produced palm-groves and vineyards for you, in which there are abundant fruits for you; and you eat these, 19 Also a tree springing out of Mount Sinai, which produces oil, and relish for those who use it for food. 20 And verily in the cattle for you is a lesson. We give you to drink of that which is in their bellies, and for you in them are advantages many, and of them ye eat. 21 And upon them and on ships you are carried. 22
