This, (Quran), is certainly the revelation from the Lord of the Universe. 192 Which the trusted spirit descended with 193 into your heart, so that you may be a warner, 194 in clear Arabic speech. 195 This is indicated in the Books of earlier people. 196 Is it not evidence enough for them that [so many] learned men from among the children of Israel have recognized this [as true]? 197 And had We revealed it unto any of the non-Arabs, 198 In order that he read it to them, even then they would not have believed in it. 199 Thus have We caused this [message] to pass [unheeded] through the hearts of those who are lost in sin: 200 They will not believe in it until they see the painful punishment. 201 The torment will strike them suddenly without their knowledge. 202 And they will say, "May we be reprieved?" 203 Do they wish Us then to hasten the punishment? 204 Did you consider that if We were to let them enjoy life for many years 205 Yet there comes to them at length the (Punishment) which they were promised! 206 That which they were made to enjoy shall not avail them? 207 And withal, never have We destroyed any community unless it had been warned 208 We have never been unjust to anyone. 209 The devils did not bring it down: 210 They are unworthy of it, nor can they do it. 211 They have been precluded from hearing it. 212 Hence, [O man,] do not invoke any other deity side by side with God, lest thou find thyself among those who are made to suffer [on Judgment Day]. 213 And warn, [O Muhammad], your closest kindred. 214 And spread your wing of mercy for the believers following you. 215 And if they disobey you, then say, "Indeed, I am disassociated from what you are doing." 216 And put your trust in the All-Mighty, the Most Merciful, 217 who sees you when you stand 218 And your movements among those who fall prostrate (along with you to Allah in the five compulsory congregational prayers). 219 Verily! He, only He, is the All-Hearer, the All-Knower. 220 Shall I tell you upon whom the devils descend? 221 They descend on every great accuser, extreme sinner, the magicians. 222 They incline their ears, and most of them are liars. 223 And the astray follow the poets. 224 Observest thou not, that they wander about every vale. 225 And they speak what they do not do? 226 Save those that believe, and do righteous deeds, and remember God oft, and help themselves after being wronged; and those who do wrong shall surely know by what overturning they will be overturned. 227
