▼ 56 The Inevitable
Al-Waaqe'ah 3 of 3
۞ Nay, I swear by the places of the stars - 75 And verily that is a mighty oath, if ye but knew! 76 That this is indeed the glorious Qur'an 77 inscribed in a well-guarded Book, 78 Which none can touch except the purified. 79 A Revelation from the Lord of the Worlds. 80 Is it such a Message that ye would hold in light esteem? 81 And make [the thanks for] your provision that you deny [the Provider]? 82 Then why do ye not (intervene) when (the soul of the dying man) reaches the throat,- 83 And you at that time look on-- 84 We are nearer to him than you, but you do not see 85 why, then, if you are not subject to Our command, 86 can you not cause that [ebbing life] to return - if what you claim is true? 87 Then, if he be of those brought nigh the Throne, 88 Then is relief, and flowers – and Gardens of peace. 89 If it is of the people of the right hand, 90 Then (the greeting) "Peace be unto thee" from those on the right hand. 91 But, if he is of those who belied, and went astray, 92 he will be welcomed with boiling water. 93 and a roasting in Hell. 94 Verily, this is the Very Truth and Certainly. 95 So exalt the name of your Lord, the Most Great. 96

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
