Al-Aadeyaat
The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By (the horses) that charge snorting, 1 striking sparks of fire with their hooves, 2 And scouring to the raid at dawn, 3 and leave behind a cloud of dust 4 Penetrating deep into the armies, 5 Indeed mankind, to his Lord, is ungrateful. 6 and to this, behold, he [himself] bears witness indeed: 7 And indeed he loves wealth to the extreme. 8 ۞ Knoweth he not that, when the contents of the graves are poured forth 9 And the secrets of the hearts exposed, 10 surely on that day their Lord shall be aware of them! 11
True are the words of God the Almighty.
