Al-nahl 12 of 16
The day We shall call a witness from every people, the unbelievers will not be allowed to make excuses. 84 Once the wrong-doers have beheld the chastisement, neither will it be lightened for them nor will they be granted any respite. 85 And when those who ascribed partners to Allah behold those partners of theirs, they will say: Our Lord! these are our partners unto whom we used to cry instead of Thee. But they will fling to them the saying: Lo! ye verily are liars! 86 And on that Day will they [who had thus been sinning, belatedly] proffer their surrender to God; and all their false imagery will have forsaken them. 87 Those who disbelieved and hindered others from the way of Allah - We shall increase for them torment upon torment for they have been spreading corruption. 88 And [mention] the Day when We will resurrect among every nation a witness over them from themselves. And We will bring you, [O Muhammad], as a witness over your nation. And We have sent down to you the Book as clarification for all things and as guidance and mercy and good tidings for the Muslims. 89
