We have made the heavens with Our own hands and We expanded it. 47 And the earth -- We spread it forth; O excellent Smoothers! 48 We created two kinds of all things, so that you will remember. 49 Therefore fly to Allah, surely I am a plain warner to you from Him. 50 “And do not appoint other deities along with Allah; indeed I am from Him, a clear Herald of Warning towards you.” 51 Even thus no apostle came to those before them but they said: "He is a sorcerer or a mad man." 52 What, have they bequeathed it one to another? Nay, but they are an insolent people. 53 So turn your attention away from them; you shall incur no blame. 54 But go on reminding them, as reminding benefits the believers. 55 And I created the jinns and men, only for them to worship Me. 56 I seek no sustenance from them, nor do I want them to feed Me -- 57 God is certainly the great provider, Lord of strength and power. 58 And lo! for those who (now) do wrong there is an evil day like unto the evil day (which came for) their likes (of old); so let them not ask Me to hasten on (that day). 59 Woe, then, betide those who disbelieved in that Day of theirs which they are being asked to hold in dread. 60
