Al-A'alaa
The All High (Al-A'alaa)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Rolling (Al-Takweer) before The Night (Al-Layl)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ Glorify the Name of your Lord, the Most High, 1 Who creates, then makes complete, 2 who determines the nature [of all that exists], and guided it accordingly; 3 And Who brings forth herbage, 4 Then makes it dried up, dust-colored. 5 We shall make you recite (the Qur'an) so that you will not forget it, 6 Save that which Allah willeth. Lo! He knoweth the disclosed and that which still is hidden; 7 We shall facilitate for you the Easy Way. 8 So render good counsel if good counsel will avail. 9 The reminder will be received by him who fears (Allah), 10 But the most hapless will flout it, 11 He will be cast into the Great Fire. 12 then he shall neither die therein, nor live. 13 He is successful who groweth, 14 and remembers the Name of his Lord, so he prays. 15 But you prefer the present life, 16 But the Hereafter is better and more enduring. 17 This, indeed, was in the ancient Scrolls, 18 The Books of Abraham and Moses. 19
