And assuredly the dwellers of Hijr belied the sent ones. 80 We brought them Our signs, and they turned away from them. 81 And they were hewing out houses from mountains feeling secure. 82 But they were seized by the mighty blast towards the morning; 83 and of no avail to them was all [the power] that they had acquired. 84 We have not created but with reason the heavens and the earth and all that lies within them. The Hour (of the great change) is certain to come. So turn away (from them) with a grace. 85 Your Lord is certainly the All-knowing Creator. 86 We have given you the seven dual (verses, Al Fatihah) and the Mighty Holy Reading (Koran). 87 Look not with your eyes ambitiously at what We have bestowed on certain classes of them (the disbelievers), nor grieve over them. And lower your wings for the believers (be courteous to the fellow-believers). 88 And say: "I am indeed a plain warner." 89 [For, thou art the bearer of a divine writ] such as We have bestowed from on high upon those who [afterwards] broke it up into parts, 90 [and] who [now] declare this Qur'an to be [a tissue of] falsehoods! 91 Them, by thy Lord, We shall question, every one, 92 concerning that they were doing. 93 (O Prophet), proclaim what you are commanded, and pay no heed to those who associate others with Allah in His Divinity. 94 We suffice thee against the mockers, 95 Who set up along with Allah another god; presently they shall know. 96 Indeed, We know your chest is straitened by that they say. 97 But hymn the praise of thy Lord, and be of those who make prostration (unto Him). 98 Worship your Lord until you achieve the ultimate certainty. 99
