Al-Hijjr 6 of 6
Surely the people of al-Hijr also rejected the Messengers, calling them liars. 80 We also gave them Our Signs, yet they turned away from them. 81 They would carve secure houses out of the mountains. 82 the blast overtook them early one morning. 83 and of no avail to them was all [the power] that they had acquired. 84 AND [remember:] We have not created the heavens and the earth and all that is between them without [an inner] truth; but, behold, the Hour [when this will become clear to all] is indeed yet to come. Hence, forgive [men's failings] with fair forbearance: 85 For verily it is thy Lord who is the Master-Creator, knowing all things. 86 We have given you the seven dual (verses, Al Fatihah) and the Mighty Holy Reading (Koran). 87 Do not yearn for other people's property and wives and do not grieve (that they do not believe). Be kind to the believers. 88 Say, "Indeed, I am simply one who warns." 89 As We have sent down on the dividers, (Quraish pagans or Jews and Christians). 90 who have broken the Koran into fragments. 91 So, by your Lord, We would most certainly question them all, 92 about what they did. 93 So proclaim that which thou art commanded, and withdraw from the idolaters. 94 Lo! We defend thee from the scoffers, 95 even against those who set up with God another god. Certainly they will soon know! 96 Well know We that thy bosom is oppressed by what they say, 97 Therefore celebrate the praise of your Lord, and be of those who make obeisance. 98 And go on worshipping your Lord till the certainty (of death) comes upon you. 99

Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
